FAQs
How does 1:1 coaching actually work?
Think of it as a conversation that’s all about you — your questions, your direction, your clarity. We meet regularly, and you choose how:
- Over the phone
- Online (Zoom, Teams, FaceTime — whatever works)
- In person, somewhere mutually convenient
The format isn’t the point — it’s the quality of the space we create together.
Is it face-to-face, or do I have to be online?
It can be whatever feels best for you. Some people love the face-to-face energy, others like the flexibility of online or phone. I’ve coached people on video calls, on a walk, even in their parked car between meetings. It’s about what helps you show up fully, not about ticking a box.
How do I know I can trust you?
A fair question. I’m qualified, trained, and I follow the ICF Code of Ethics (the gold standard in coaching). That means client confidentiality is non-negotiable. I’ll always make sure I’m in a private space where our conversation can’t be overheard. You’ll get honesty and respect from me — always.
What happens if I don’t like it or decide it’s not for me?
Then we stop. Simple as that. Coaching is a partnership, not a contract for life. You have complete autonomy to walk away at any point — and so do I, if I don’t think I can serve you in the way you need. No guilt, no drama.
What if I don’t know what I want to talk about?
Good news — that’s normal. Most people come to me saying “I just know something’s off, but I can’t put my finger on it.” You don’t need to arrive with a perfect agenda. We’ll figure it out together.
Am I “the kind of person” who needs a coach?
If you’re asking big questions like “WTF now?” or “Who am I if I’m not that anymore?” then yes — coaching can give you the clarity and courage to work through that. You don’t need to be in crisis. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to be open to exploring.
How many sessions will I need?
Most clients start to notice shifts after just a few conversations, but real transformation takes time. That’s why I offer different frameworks — from a one-off session to a series of 6 or 12. We’ll talk about what feels right for you, and there’s flexibility if things change.
What’s the difference between coaching, therapy, and mentoring?
- Therapy looks at the past to help you heal.
- Mentoring is about someone advising you based on their path.
- Coaching is about you — forward-focused, uncovering your own answers, and making choices that feel right for you.
What if I get emotional?
Then we roll with it. Emotions are part of being human. This is a safe, judgement-free space, and you don’t have to hold it all together here.
